Applying for Scholarships
California State University, Chico provides scholarship awards to eligible students, and students are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are based on any or all of the following criteria:
- Scholastic excellence
- Financial need
- Outstanding achievement in school or community service
- Active affiliation with honors organizations
- Educational objectives
2008-2009 Application Update: The application for 2008-2009 closed January 1, 2008, midnight PST. To verify that your letter of recommendation has been received, click here. 2008-09 CSU, Chico scholarship recipients were notified in June 2007 via e-mail with instructions to accept or decline the scholarship offer. Recipients should view instructions on finalizing their awards and tips for writing thank you letters.
Special Awards
Some scholarships and merit awards are awarded to students with outstanding academic performance records and special talents. These usually require a separate application or nomination process. New and continuing students should inquire at their academic department offices for information on the availability of special awards.
