Using Your Aid to Pay Charges
Registration fees
Financial aid recipients are required to pay the difference between all charges and registration fees and anticipated financial aid. Payment for financial aid recipients is due by July 31 for the fall 2008 semester. If your fall disbursement is a sufficient amount to cover your fees and charges, the balance due will automatically be deducted from your disbursement. All remaining aid, after charges and fees are deducted, will be disbursed to you via electronic funds transfer (EFT) or a check that is mailed to you.
You will be charged a $25 late fee if your fees and charges are not paid by July 31. Additional late fees may be charged and holds may be placed during the semester if fees and charges remain unpaid.
On-Campus Housing Payments
If you will live in a residence hall, your outstanding housing charges will be deducted from your financial aid. The University Housing and Food Service (UHFS) office has several payment plans. Financial aid students should select the two–payment plan. Contact UHFS at 800-730-4243 or 530-898-6325 to discuss payment options.
